One 51-year-old male pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a car on FM 1960 near Cypress Station on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
The accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. in the 14000 block of West FM 1960.
Whether the victim was standing in the road or crossing is not known, but it was obvious that he was not in a crosswalk when he got fatally struck by a vehicle. The 28-year-old driver told officers that he had a drink a few hours before the accident.
The police confirmed that the driver showed minimal signs of intoxication.
According to early reports, the driver immediately u-turned after the collision and returned to the crash scene, where he remained to cooperate with the officers. No charges have been filed yet.
The identities of the 51-year-old victim and the driver have yet to be disclosed as local authorities are still investigating the auto-pedestrian accident.
