[12-04-2021] Dallas County, TX – One Woman Killed on Oak Lawn Avenue in an Auto-Pedestrian Crash

One unidentified woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Oak Lawn Avenue on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

The fatal accident happened around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of Oak Lawn Avenue and Maple Avenue.

According to the police, the woman was not in a crosswalk but proceeded to cross the intersection when it was unsafe.

She was struck by a 2012 Volkswagen trying to turn right onto Maple Avenue, and the driver pulled over at a nearby gas station.

The female pedestrian was critically injured and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was eventually declared dead.

The accident remains under investigation.
