Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on the southbound North Central Expressway on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

The fatal accident happened at about 2:20 a.m. in the 4200 block of the North Central Expressway at Haskell Avenue.
According to the police, five vehicles were involved in the crash that led to the pileup. Both the driver and passenger of one vehicle died at the scene, and another person was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Three drivers were arrested in relation to the accident, according to police.
Authorities said 31-year-old Marsalis B. faces two charges of intoxication manslaughter, while 28-year-old Jose R. and 24-year-old Grayson Tsai Meu C. each face one charge of driving while intoxicated.
Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
