63-year-old Daniel Dwain O. and 63-year-old Mark M. from Lubbock were both killed in a two-vehicle accident in Hockley County on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
The fatal two-vehicle collision happened at about 9:20 p.m. in the area of U.S. 84.
According to preliminary reports, a pickup truck driven by Daniel Dwain O., 63, was traveling east on U.S. 84 in the inside westbound lane when it collided with the front left of a passenger car driven by Mark M., 63, who was traveling west.
Both drivers died on the spot as a result of their injuries. It’s unclear if any passengers were in either of the two vehicles. Officials have not provided any additional information.
The collision remains under investigation.
