One unidentified man was hospitalized following a wrong-way accident near Brookshire on a Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, the crash occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Brookshire.
Authorities said a pick-up truck drove westbound in the eastbound lanes and collided with an 18-wheeler, causing one of the vehicles to catch fire.
Both drivers were unharmed in the collision, though the pick-up truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
