It’s also safe to assume that COVID-19 had an impact on 2020 trends. There was a significant decrease in fatal crashes for people over the age of 64 from March to June 2020. As a result of COVID-19 and the stay-at-home order, older people are more likely to stay home. From March to June 2020, there was an increase in fatal crashes involving people aged 16-44. There was a 20 percent increase in June compared to the same month in 2013. More people in this age group began to travel again in June when most states had reopened at least partially.

To ensure the safety of themselves and those around them, every driver has the responsibility of following the rules of the road. However, not all drivers take this approach, and some end up in a car accident as a result. A driver’s actions and decisions have a significant impact on their ability to be a safe and responsible driver. The risk of a car accident increases when a driver chooses to drive while intoxicated or texting and driving.
