One unidentified man was left injured following an auto-pedestrian crash that crushed his foot in Lindale on Thursday morning, December 9, 2021.
According to preliminary reports, the crash transpired at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 20 and U.S. Highway 69.
Authorities said a worker was mowing grass when a car coming off I-20 collided with his foot. When first responders arrived, they transported the man to a hospital by ambulance for treatment. It was unclear whether the driver was aware that they had hit someone.
Further reports revealed that the Lindale police obtained the vehicle’s license plate but have yet to locate the driver. The car proceeded to Tyler, and the Tyler Police Department assisted in the search.
An investigation is required to get both sides of the story and determine whether charges should be filed. The accident remains under investigation.
