One 67-year-old man identified as Eddie S. of Nacogdoches was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on North Street on Monday, December 13, 2021.
The accident happened at about 5:45 p.m. in the 4100 block of North St.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered an adult victim lying in the road, having been struck by a 2007 Chevy traveling north on North St.
A Justice of the Peace pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the accident.
The traffic division of the NPD was dispatched to the scene right away to investigate.
Officials say the victim was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by the pickup truck.
The pickup’s driver is cooperating with the police investigation.
