One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Hunt County on Sunday night, December 19, 2021.
The crash happened at about 8:00 p.m. along US Highway 380.
According to initial reports, a Benson Brothers wrecker truck was on the eastbound shoulder picking up an unoccupied Chevy pickup truck.
A 1967 Ford pickup truck veered onto the shoulder at that point and collided with the unoccupied truck, sending it crashing into the wrecker truck. The tow truck’s occupants were not in the vehicle at the time of the accident and were not injured.
The Ford driver was taken to Hunt County Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities believe alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
