[12-20-2021] Hockley County, TX – 64-Year-Old Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1585

One 64-year-old female identified as Linda R. was killed while 45-year-old Gerry V. was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Hockley County on Monday, December 20, 2021.

The crash transpired at approximately 6:30 a.m. on FM 1585 between Owl and Quail Roads.

According to preliminary reports, the elderly woman’s vehicle was struck head-on when another eastbound vehicle crossed the centerline into the westbound lane.

Officials pronounced her dead on the scene. The 45-year-old driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to University Medical Center in critical condition. There are no further details available.

Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
