One unidentified person sustained serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash on I-27 on Monday evening, December 20, 2021.
The crash happened at about 6:19 p.m. near 400 North I-27.
A fire broke out briefly beneath the passenger car, but Lubbock Fire Rescue was able to put the fire out quickly.
One person was said to have suffered serious injuries. At this time, crews are working to clear the area, but major lanes have not been closed, according to police.
Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
