According to local authorities, an unidentified person was killed in an early-morning two-vehicle crash on State Highway 3 in La Marque on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 1:45 a.m. near the interchange with State Highway 146, in the 4000 block of the highway.
According to police, two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided head-on.
Both vehicles’ drivers were hurt. One was flown to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston by helicopter. That person passed away later.
Officials further stated that the surviving driver showed signs of intoxication. There have been no charges filed in the crash, and police have released no other information about it as of Tuesday afternoon.
