One unidentified person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in North Richland Hills on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Northeast Loop 820 toll road near Rufe Snow Drive.
The accident involved a tanker truck, a trash truck, and possibly a third vehicle, according to initial reports. Officials in Tarrant County shut down a highway after an accident resulted in a large truck fire on the road.
Because of the crash in North Richland Hills, northeast Loop 820 was temporarily closed, but the eastbound lanes were open. One person who was severely burned was airlifted to the hospital in a helicopter ambulance.
Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
