One unidentified 31-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in the Tomball area on Friday, December 24, 2021.
According to preliminary reports, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred around 7:20 p.m. in the 11700 block of Spring Cypress.
The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when a white Nissan Ultima made a U-turn from the westbound lanes. The motorcyclist did not come to a complete stop in time and collided with the Nissan. Authorities believe the rider was speeding when the accident occurred.
Officials declared the motorcyclist dead on the scene after he sustained serious injuries. He was only identified as a Hispanic man in his thirties.
At the time, he was said to be wearing a helmet.
The Nissan driver failed to stop and render assistance instead of fleeing the scene.
According to the police, the Nissan Ultima should have damage to the back end. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
