A pickup struck and killed 43-year-old Edmon Lynard H., who was standing next to a broken-down vehicle on U.S. Highway 259 in Rusk County on December 25, 2021.
The fatal pedestrian accident transpired at approximately 6:35 p.m. about five miles south of Henderson on US 259.
According to a press release, the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to and investigated the incident.
The pedestrian was standing on or near the fog line on US 259, next to a broken-down pickup. A northbound Ford F-150 pickup driven by 21-year-old Alex C. of New Caney struck and killed Howard.
The 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Pat McCrory.
