According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, a man died in a head-on collision in Porter late Friday, December 31, 2021.
The fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of East Martin and Wayne.
The 34-year-old man was speeding east on East Martin without his headlights on. He collided with a Ford D-350, pushing it backward.
The Ford D-350 driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity has not been revealed.
It’s unclear whether the driver of the pickup truck was hurt.
Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack of Montgomery County Precinct 1 arrived on the scene and ordered an autopsy.
Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
