According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a man lost his life in a Lubbock hospital after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 115 Sunday, June 5, 2022.
According to DPS, the crash occurred northbound on Farm to Market Road 181, 13 miles west of Andrews.
Terrence V., 40, of Fort Worth, was driving northbound on Farm to Market Road 181, according to DPS. According to DPS, he failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. An 18-wheeler collided with his crossover.
According to DPS, the driver of the crossover was flown to Covenant Medical Center by helicopter on June 8, 2022, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
According to DPS, Vereecke was wearing a seat belt. The weather was dry and clear. According to DPS, the 18-wheeler’s driver, Ruben M, 32, of Midland, was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
