One man identified as 50-year-old Michael B. was discovered by Killeen police officers at the intersection of Rancier Ave. and N. Twin Dr. on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
The pedestrian accident occurred around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Rancier Ave. and N. Twin Dr.
The 50-year-old man was discovered with major injuries in a grassy area and was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Officers discovered that the victim was crossing E. Rancier Ave. from the south to the north side of the road when he failed to yield right of way to a white GMC Terrain.
The deceased victim was in the outside lane when the vehicle struck him while traveling westbound on E. Rancier Ave.
Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
