Two people were killed after a deadly two-vehicle collision in San Antonio on early Monday morning, September 13.
The accident took place at the intersection of S. Zarzamora Street and Highway 16 at approximately 4:30 a.m. A gold SUV was reportedly driving in the northbound lanes when it ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a southbound sedan that was turning onto Zarzamora Street.
Due to the severity of the impact, the sedan was pushed off the roadway and into a ditch. Two unidentified women were killed in the mishap. Their identities have not been disclosed.
The SUV driver was identified as 28-year-old Gabrielle G. She was found walking away from the scene. She was then charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of failure to stop and render aid. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
