One person was critically injured after a major two-vehicle crash in San Antonio’s north side on Saturday noon, September 11.
The major crash happened at the intersection of Main Avenue and Elmira Street around noon time. A vehicle reportedly ran a red light at the intersection and struck a pickup truck that had a green light.
Due to the severity of the impact, the pickup truck driver was ejected while his vehicle crashed into a utility pole. The pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries in the mishap. He was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.
Information about the crash is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities are further investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the cause of the accident and the liability.
