[10-03-2021] Brazos County, TX – A DWI Multi-Vehicle Accident At College Station

A man driving while intoxicated caused a three-vehicle crash on Frontage Road West Sunday afternoon, October 3.

The major accident happened around 4 p.m. in the 2400 block of Earl Rudder Freeway South Frontage Road West. The drivers of the Tundra and Tacoma said they were in the right lane and stopped at a red light at Earl Rudder Freeway South Frontage Road West and Southwest Parkway.

According to court records, while halted, the Ford collided with the Tundra, pushing the Tundra into the rear of the Tacoma. The police saw damages to the front end of a Ford F-250, the front and back ends of a Toyota Tundra, and the rear end of a Toyota Tacoma.

The officials identified the driver of the Ford to be a 39-year-old Chad F. of Longview. Firefighters from College Station claimed they smelled alcohol coming from Finely while on the scene.

Finely had slurred speech, appeared unstable on his feet, and had acknowledged drinking two 12-ounce bottles of Dos Equis before driving the Ford. Finley was arrested for driving under the influence. Officers discovered later at the prison, Finley had five prior DUI convictions.
