[10-19-2021] Burleson County, TX – One Person Was Killed After a Fatal Semi-Truck crash at SH 21 and FM 50

One unidentified person was killed after a deadly collision involving a semi-truck on State Highway 21 and FM50 on Monday afternoon, October 19.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash happened at around 12:20 in the area of SH 21 and FM 50. A semi-truck crossed SH 21 but failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming Jeep, which then caused an SUV to go under the trailer partially.

Unfortunately, the driver of the jeep sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed. Meanwhile, a passenger inside the jeep sustained severe injuries and was immediately airlifted to a hospital in Bryan.

The semi-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He was uninjured in the mishap. The crash is currently under further investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
