According to Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Sergeant Jean Dark, a 22-year-old Kjyearone M. of Bullard was killed in a crash, and three others were injured on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
The crash transpired at approximately 3:00 p.m. on FM 855, about 5 miles north of Cuney.
Initial reports say that the victim was driving a vehicle headed west in the eastbound lane of FM 855 when a van tried to take evasive action but ended up colliding with the victim’s car.
The victim’s vehicle went off-road and into a barbed-wire fence. The van stopped partially in the westbound lane and on the shoulder.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
The van driver, 46-year-old Michael W. Jr, and the passengers identified as 21-year-old Alex H. and 25-year-old Dakota B. were all in serious condition and were rushed to UT Health East Texas.
Local authorities are still investigating the accident.
