One unidentified child became a recent victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Copperas Cove on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The collision occurred around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Hill Street and N 17th Street.
Reports show that the bicyclist was traveling west in the 900 block of Hill Street, and the driver turned onto the 900 block of Hill Street from the 600 block of N 17th Street, hitting the victim.
The driver of the small dark-colored sedan fled the scene without stopping to aid the child. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
