An unidentified 67-year-old man was killed after a deadly multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 on Wednesday night, August 18.
The accident transpired at approximately 11:00 p.m. along the Interstate 10 eastbound lanes at Hawkins.
Multiple vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the crash and the number of vehicles involved have not been established.
At least one person was killed in the mishap. He was initially taken to an area hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The identity of the involved parties has not been disclosed.
Local authorities are currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the crash.
