One unidentified bicyclist was killed after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver near Freeport Street on Tuesday night, September 14.
The fatal collision occurred in the 14100 blocks of East Freeway service road near Freeport Street at approximately 11:45 p.m. The bicyclist was heading westbound on the freeway when he was suddenly rear-ended by an unspecified vehicle. The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.
The driver that struck the bicyclist did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene. Information about the suspect’s vehicle and appearance has not been established. The bicyclist was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity has not been released. Information about the accident is limited at the moment. Local authorities are further investigating the crash.
