One person was killed while another person was seriously injured after a major head-on collision in Greenville on Saturday evening, August 21.
The fatal collision transpired at approximately 5:50 p.m. on State Highway 34, near the intersection of FM 2101. A Ford Mustang was initially heading southbound on State Highway 34 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and entered a curve. It’s unclear what caused the Ford driver to lose control of his vehicle.
It then veered into the northbound lanes of the highway, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Dodge Magnum. Both drivers were airlifted to Medical City Plano in serious condition. Unfortunately, one of the drivers later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He was identified as 22-year-old Lance N.
The other driver is currently in stable condition. He is expected to recover from his injuries. His identity has not been disclosed. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the collision.
