18-year-old Latresa P. was killed as a result of a two-vehicle crash in Martin County on Saturday, October 23.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident transpired at approximately 8:18 p.m. near Tarzan in Martin County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2012 Mazda car driven by the victim was traveling west on State Highway 176.
The other vehicle, a 2013 Ford F-350, was driven by 39-year-old Zachary Johnson along with 46-year-old passenger Douglas Baker. They were traveling east on the highway.
The victim turned and crashed into the F-350. Johnson and Baker were reportedly uninjured while Powers was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
