One 19-year-old individual identified as Karina Nichole A. became a recent victim of a tragic vehicle collision on Highway 60 on October 19, Tuesday.
The crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on the 100 block of Highway 60, where local authorities were later dispatched to investigate the incident.
Ayala was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Malibu traveling eastbound on Highway 60 where a semi-truck traveling westbound on Highway 60, struck her, according to the police.
Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identity of the truck driver has not been disclosed.
Randall County Justice of the Peace Tracy Byrd stated that Ayala was pronounced dead at the scene. The Canyon Police Department is still investigating the crash.
