Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics
A car accident can happen to anybody, anywhere, and at any moment. Congestion, on the other hand, affects accident rates. Texas leads the nation in the number of road deaths. Every 71 seconds, a car accident occurs on Texas highways.
Every 2.5 hours, someone dies in a Texas car accident, and someone suffers a catastrophic injury every two minutes. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, there were 19,506 serious injury crashes in 2019, with 30,992 serious injury victims. There were also 3,722 motor vehicle fatalities.
In this case, a multi-vehicle collision occurred. When three or more vehicles are involved in a collision, the accident is considered a “multi-vehicle” collision. A “chain reaction commonly causes this type of accident,” wherein one car will bump into another, which will cause the other vehicle to crash into another one potentially.
Tarran County Personal Injury Attorney for Victims of Multi-Vehicle Collisions
While it is technically possible to represent yourself in a car accident case, it is not recommended. Insurance companies do not work for you, and they will often attempt to manipulate you into settling for a lower claim. Self-representation puts you at risk of making mistakes and losing your right to compensation.
It isn’t easy to negotiate with insurance claims adjusters, and the stakes might be enormous. Protect your rights and future by hiring an attorney to help you settle your lawsuit or take it to trial if necessary. The best practice is to let your injury lawyer take care of this.
If your accident attorney handles all communications from the start, there is less chance that you will hurt your claim by accidentally sharing information the insurance company should not have. Your lawyer will also be able to determine which insurance company to contact if there are multiple drivers involved.
