One unidentified woman died in a fatal pedestrian accident on Tuesday, October 26.
According to Amanda M. from the Grapevine Police Department, the accident happened around 11:00 p.m. near the 500 block of North State Highway 121. Another motorist contacted 911 following the accident to inform them the driver had hit someone in the roadway.
Police respondents arrived within five minutes of the 911 distress call and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Investigators spoke to several passengers, including the two drivers who stopped due to the crash. Everyone cooperated with the investigation.
Reports say no one is facing charges for the woman’s death. The Grapevine Police Department and Dallas Fire-Rescue helped block the roadway and shut down SH-121 as they proceeded with the investigation.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m., another motorist crashed into a Grapevine fire truck while officers investigated the first crash. Fortunately, no one was injured in the second accident, but the driver was arrested for DUI-related charges.
