One unidentified person was pinned following a two-vehicle crash in southeast Austin on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
The first crash happened around 6:42 a.m. at 11000 Pearce Lane, just southeast of the Austin-Bergstrom International airport. It involved a pickup truck and a semi. The second collision occurred around 6:50 a.m. as a single-vehicle rollover at 1600 East SH 71 Eastbound, just north of ABIA. According to the ATCEMS, the driver was ejected from their vehicle.
One person was pinned in their vehicle, according to ATCEMS, who issued a trauma alert. According to paramedics, an adult patient was extricated from their car, being prepared for transport around 7:37 a.m. They were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries fifteen minutes later.
The victim was declared a trauma alert and was rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Local authorities are still investigating the crash.
