One person was killed while two others were injured after a deadly head-on collision in northwest Austin on Tuesday evening, September 7.
The accident occurred at the intersection of the 7400 block of McNeil Drive and San Felipe Avenue in Austin at around 9:22 p.m.
A black Mazda sedan and s silver Toyota SUV collided head-on on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.
The Mazda driver sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two other passengers in his vehicle were rushed to Round Rock Medical Center for treatment.
Additional information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
