Two people were killed after a fiery two-vehicle crash on Highway 77 on Tuesday night, August 17.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal collision took place on Highway 77, near the Willacy-Kennedy County line, at around 10:30 p.m. Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway under unclear circumstances.
Due to the severity of the impact, one of the vehicles rolled over and caught fire. Both of the drivers were killed in the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identities have not been disclosed. Meanwhile, a passenger in one of the vehicles sustained serious injuries in the mishap. The injured passenger was rushed to a Kingsville hospital for treatment.
