[12-07-2021] Garza County, TX – 40-Year-Old Woman Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash Along Highway 84

One 40-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian crash along U.S. Highway 84 on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

The accident happened on a Tuesday night along U.S. Highway 84, six miles north of Post.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a pedestrian was struck by a Dodge Grand Caravan in the outside lane of travel on the US 84.

The DPS further stated that crash-related injuries to this pedestrian resulted in his or her death.

The identity of the 40-year-old woman has yet to be disclosed.

The driver of the Caravan was identified as 32-year-old Adan Lopez C of Post. There was no mention of his injuries or pending citations or charges in a DPS crash summary.

The crash remains under investigation.
