Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics
The possibility of being involved in a traffic collision is always present in the state of Texas. In recent years, motor vehicle accidents have claimed the lives of many people in Texas’ most populous cities, including Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
Texas dominates the competition as the world’s largest state in terms of population and total road mileage. It is home to many of the country’s busiest highways and thoroughfares. More than 3,500 people have been killed and 246,000 injured in traffic accidents in Texas. At this location, a fatal accident involving multiple vehicles occurred.
Three or more cars colliding on the road is a multi-vehicle accident. When one vehicle collides with another, a “chain reaction” occurs, in which the second vehicle collides with the vehicle after it.
